30 years locked up in an advertising photography studio is a long time for a truly great landscape photographer. Occasionally he escaped to the Cook Islands to photograph for their tourism authority or to Hawaii for Continental Airlines. Always a fine craftsman behind the lens his studio work is as beautiful as his location pictures.
The series illustrated in his Embryo Rock image combines his love for the wide open spaces and his refined craft as still life photographer.
Bob as he prefers to be called, considers the landscape, "a place where the spirits dwell, a place where nature displays her stellar performance daily for those who choose to observe and record".
Some of his fine landscape work can be seen at the Discovering Country exhibition at the Rocks Discovery Museum.
